The Show Must Go On
I took a jaunt up to Gainesville yesterday to do meet with clients and check out the Rehasher show at the Atlantic. I always have a great time up in Gainesville Rock City, and this time did not disappoint. It turned out to be one of the craziest confluences of events around a show I’ve seen in a while. It had been raining, but as I got closer to the venue the skies seemed to open. It was an interesting lineup, including the Japanese band SNM, who were in town recording with Roger from LTJ. The crowd was pretty jovial and friendly, which was good because just as SNM started to set up, the power went out, not just at the venue but all around the Atlantic as well. Good thing the bar computer was on backup, a lot of people hung around talking in the darkness, there were plenty of jokes about leaving our rave glow sticks at home. But the show must go on, and after learning that 1982 had power, the bands and the show proceeded over there. SNM put on an energetic set for sure after all the drama. Rehasher was awesome, well worth the wait and craziness. From Roger’s posting on Facebook, sounds like it was a great evening for the band too. Had some great meetings with clients about exciting projects, I’m really feeling energized and excited, bring on Punk Rock Bowling!
